TG.NIP Wins EA Sports Cup

London, January 18, 2023 - Team Gullit and Ninjas in Pyjamas — TG.NIP — have today won the EA Sports Cup, the biggest tournament of the FIFA 23 season. Levi de Weerd and Olle Arbin, coached by Renzo, remained unbeaten throughout the entire tournament and were crowned the best 2V2 team in the world. TG.NIP won $50.000 and secured tickets for the FIFAe Club World Cup later this year.
The EA Sports Cup victory marks the first international major trophy for Team Gullit in the FIFA 23 season, after winning multiple international majors in the years prior. Levi and Olle played together during the FIFA 22 season already, where they made the semi-final of the FIFAe Club World Cup FIFA 22. The youngsters now get a chance to redeem themselves, having secured a ticket for the FIFAe Club World Cup in July.
The focus for the remainder of the season will now move towards qualifying for the FIFAe Nations Cup and the individual FIFAe World Cup. Levi represents The Netherlands, and Olle represents Sweden, whereas both will also play the individual international qualifiers in the FIFA Global Series.
